John Denver, a singer-songwriter of Colorado who specialized in folk-pop music that inspired millions of people. He was born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, the singer-songwriter fell in the love of Colorado and then settled in Aspen. Denver's songs that he sang about his state of origin encouraged many to move to Colorado. G. Brown, curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame claimed the following: John Denver is the only musician to truly embody Colorado. Denver became the first Hall of Fame inductee in the year 2011. Today, he is seen as the personification of Colorado to people from all over the world. Through my travels I've had the pleasure of meeting people who are from New Zealand or the other side. When you tell them you're from Colorado The first thing they'll use are"Oh John Denver. Brown said. Denver's debut Top 10 hit as a solo artist following a brief career performing in small folk-based groups is Take Me Home Country Roads which was co-written by Bill Danoff. Danoff wrote the song using Johnny Cash in mind but when Denver saw an early rendition immediately, he realized the track could become an instant hit. Danoff recorded the track within a couple of days before performing the song to crowds of enthusiastic fans on the streets of Washington D.C.
